Social Media Management

What's all the social buzz about?

There might not be a buzz at all if you are not building it yourself on the various social networks.

We do recommend that you manage your own social media accounts once you've had the training. We offer in-house social media training that will cover photography, hashtags, and content creation topics specific for your business. This in-house training is $2000 for 2 full days in addition to travel, lodging, and meals. Please contact us for this in-house training.

We feel that every business should be able to handle their own basic social media management once they understand how to get started, which is why the services we offer are far beyond the basics. Plenty of other companies provide basic posting of generic topics, images, and regurgitated content that's already found everyone online.

We build buzz for you through social media, but it's more than simply churning the same social posts for all our customers. That's a complete waste of time and your money.

Instead, we treat you like the unique customer you are, and we socially share information to your Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, and Twitter accounts.

What do we Socially Share?

Figuring out what to socially share is one of the biggest challenges for all business owners. There are simple aspects of your daily work that your customers will find interesting even though you think they are completely boring.

We'll begin the social sharing process with our basic strategies, but you need to you your part too. You'll need a smartphone to do what we'll show you. We expect that you will follow our directions and help with the social sharing process, otherwise you're just giving us money to do a job that could never be completed.

What Is Social For?

Instagram, Facebook, Google+, and Pinterest have specific features for businesses which are commonly referred to as "business pages."

For a business, the goal is to create an online social environment that keeps your customers involved, and excited to actually be your customer.

Happy customers will talk about you without you needing to beg them to, which is why Facebook originally called their "business page" a "fan page." Those "raving fans" want a place they can gather and talk to other fans about why they love you so much. But the problem is that there often aren't enough raving fans of a small business that will get involved and do that.

Your fans would really need to love you before they start to rave about you.

When the concept of a "fan page" didn't attract raving fans as expected, Facebook changed the name to a "business page" and then all the other social networks followed their lead.

Struggling to figure out what to do with a business page, many agencies started offering services to attract people as "fans" or "likes." Typical services were to post random photos, ask questions, and run contests. Essentially these agencies were struggling to create an engaging online atmosphere when they should have been figuring out how to create customers who would engage on their own.

Our goal as your collaborative partner is to identify all the ways your customers would actually rave about you and invite them to do it.

Our Social Tools

The software we use allows us to do a number of things very fast, efficiently, and easily. We also use 3rd party software applications to manage, track, and report on social activity.

We use different tools depending on the level of social management needed for your situation. At minimum we use Hootsuite to manage automated posts to Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. Our work with Instagram and Pinterest is all manual, and that's because those networks require some type of human interaction as a way of preventing social spam.

We also have the ability to publish directly from your website into your Facebook Business Page so your Facebook users can see your product catalog or latest blog post.

Social Contests

Online contests are all the buzz, and they really do build buzz when done correctly.

Facebook is rife with contests as a way to build interest and gain fans. Typically those types of contests attract people who like your page only for the contest period, then unlike you afterwards.

Instead of focusing attention on a particular social network to build fans, we have a very flexible contest system that you can use to build an engaged audience that will like and share your website with their friends, rather than just your social network page.

This builds an incredible amount of traffic during the contest period and helps to introduce you to many new local customers who really could shop at your store, rather than the online contest junkies that only enter online contests.

Combine this contest technique with Google AdWords Remarketing or Facebook Retargeting and you have an amazing recipe for online marketing success!
